Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce, and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community.

Every brother holds a role, from chapter offices to running Biz Talks and rush week, and the fraternity's leadership conferences train them for it.
Rush is open to every Chico State student in good standing. Different backgrounds and viewpoints make better business leaders.
More than six service initiatives a year in Chico and on campus, with the causes chosen and the work organized by brothers.
Alumni come back for Biz Talks, host visits at their companies and refer brothers into open roles. The friendships last longer still.
New York University
1907
On November 7, 1907, Alexander Frank Makay, Alfred Moysello, Harold Valentine Jacobs and Henry Albert Tienken founded Delta Sigma Pi at the School of Commerce, Accounts and Finance, an evening school on Washington Square. The fraternity was organized to foster the study of business in universities.
Chico State
1960
A local business fraternity, Alpha Beta Pi, became the Epsilon Theta Chapter at Chico State College, now California State University, Chico, on December 3, 1960. Twenty-five students and six faculty members were initiated that day in Bidwell Mansion.
Sixty-five years on
Today
A new pledge class joins every semester, and a full professional calendar keeps it busy. The standard is the one the chapter set in 1962, when it tied for first in the nation, and 1,418 brothers and alumni have kept it since.
